This is a time when children are making connections between what they know and what they are learning. As they leave the world of preschool and head toward kindergarten, children are learning to participate in routines, demonstrate the ability to make decisions, and plan ahead.
This class is designed to help children continue to make decisions on their own and in the classroom. We prepare four- to- five-year-old children for the next stage of their education while giving them a place to feel comfortable and safe to explore their interests.
We are happy to have incorporated the Handwriting Without Tears program in our class. Handwriting Without Tears uses age-appropriate, fun, multi-sensory activities to help children develop emergent writing skills and form letters using wood pieces.
